Jose Adelberto Velasquez of Capulin, Colorado passed away on June 20, 2017. He is survived by his mother, Elanor Velasquez, his beloved wife of 48 years, Ida Louise Velasquez, his three children, Lauriene Velasquez, Delbert Velasquez (Angel), and Lisa Velasquez (Luis), brother, Erasto Velasquez, sisters Betty Doyle, Kathy Ortiz, Lenora Studer, Susan Darlene Velasquez, eight grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Joe Epimeno Velasquez.

The first Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday June, 23 at 5:30 P.M. with a Mass to follow at 6:00 P.M. both being held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Denver.

A second Recitation of the Rosary is scheduled for Sunday, June 25, 2017 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Capulin, Colorado at 7:00 P.M.  A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday June 26, 2017 also at St. Josephs.  Interment will follow services at the Gomez Cemetery with  Military Honors.
