ALAMOSA — Joe Paul Mora 93, went to his heavenly home on July 30, 2020. Joe came into the world on Oct. 27, 1926 son of Jose Pablo Mora and Elveria Romero Mora.

Joe proudly served his country during World War II and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. After he completed his duties in the service, he went on to marry the love of his life Dorothy Garcia on Sept 15, 1945. They shared a long and loving union until his passing. Joe was a devout Christian and member of the River of Life Church for over 60 years.

Joe was a member of the American Legion Dicky Springs Post #113, the Elks Post #1297 and WWII Last Squad. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family, they were his pride and joy. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and working around the house.

He will live on through his loving wife Dorothy Mora, his children Larry Mora, Kenneth (Carmen) Mora, Jacque (Jim) Trujillo, Chris (Rhoda) Mora, and Patrick (Johnnie) Mora. His grandchildren Raquel Buser, Naomi (Chris) Benson, Chuck (Lexi) Mora, Nikki (Larry) Atencio, Deserae Mora, Rosalie (Rick) Sandoval, Will (Traci) Maestas, Jaime Lucero, Marcus (Jane) Trujillo, Matthew (Casey) Trujillo, Derrick Mora, Lenny Mora, Jerica (Irvi) Gonzalez, and Michael Mora. Greatgrandchildren Tessa Buser, Jayden and Carson Mora, Audry and Richard Sandoval, Briana, Marissa and Alan Maestas, Deon, Jordan and Devon Lucero, Riley and Brynley Trujillo, Hazel Trujillo, Dominic, Damian and Angeleigha Mora, Josh and JaeLee Gonzalez. Also survived by his sisters Theresa Romero of Denver, Co. Gloria Oshsner of Gooding, ID. Sister-in-law Josie Mora of Salt Lake City, UT and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
