Joe went to Heaven at the young age of 85. He will be sorely missed by his ‘angel of a wife’ - Orlinda Martinez - who put up with him for 63 years.

Joe was the loving father of Ben Martinez, Maria Cisneros, Vince (Terry) Martinez, Tommy Martinez, Rhonda Martinez, Lee Ann Martinez, Sherry (George) Gutierrez, Benny Martinez.

He was Grampa Bonehead to Frank, Nicole, Samuel, Monique, Sophia, Jenny, Derek, Courtney, Shealeigh, Taylor, Vanessa, Heather, Marcus, Jake, Alex, and Kobe. Great grandchildren – Diego, Isaac, Antoinette, Daija, Braelyn, Matthew, Michael, Sabin, Patience, Brice, Ava-Brynn, Elijah, Alonzo, Armani, Brianna, Savannah. Great-great grandson – Louie.

Joe is survived by brother, Celestino Martinez, and sisters, Perfy Vargas and Angela Gomez.

He was preceded in death by grandsons, Troy Martinez and Joey Martinez.

He was a committed husband, father, and Grampa Bonehead. He will be remembered for his sense of humor. He was funny, quirky, and loved to tease the kids. If he didn’t give you a hard time, he didn’t like you. He collected business cards and magazines of new cars and motorhomes. He loved to dance. He loved reading the encyclopedia to test his knowledge on his kids. His favorite holiday was April Fool’s Day, and he spent all day on the phone playing pranks. He loved gambling – whether at his beloved Red Dolly Casino or buying lottos. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, extended family, and friends.
