Alamosa resident Joaquin Lujan, 27, passed away May 10, 2018. Joaquin was born on November 25, 1990 in Alamosa, Colorado, the son of Amadeo Martinez and Cindy Jo Lujan. Joaquin was an outgoing, compassionate and very loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Joaquin enjoyed playing basketball, football, soccer and being known for a prankster and jokester. His favorite sports teams were the Raiders and Chicago Bulls. Joaquin's time with us was not nearly long enough, but the impression he left with people he knew will last forever and he will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his mother Cindy Jo Lujan-Gasca of Alamosa, CO; sons Sonny Lujan and David Lujan both of Alamosa, CO; brother Le-John Roybal of Denver, CO; sister LeAnn Roybal of Denver, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joaquin was preceded in death by his sister Lena Lujan, brothers David Lujan, Leon Roybal, and the father who raised him Rocky Gasca.
