Jimmy Martinez was called home late afternoon on May 4, 2023. Our beloved fisherman answered the request of our heavenly father to sit with him at heavens grandest lake shores. There he will rest peacefully without fears, pain or worry.

Jimmy was born in Alamosa, Colorado on Aug. 20, 1955, at 6:16 p.m. His parents were Andy and May Martinez, both preceded him in death. His siblings G-Ann (Bert), Dale (Lulu) and Virginia will help to carry on his memory here on Earth. He also had multiple half-brothers and sisters. Thanks to his Grandmother Gertrudes Salazar for raising him during his younger years, who also preceded him in death.

He was married to Monica Martinez on July 30, 1977. They had 44 wonderful years of marriage and had four children. She preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 2021. He was survived by his four children, Jude (Maranda), Crystal (Alexander), Santiago and Natasha (Joe). He had 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. With his loving heart he (Monica) aided in raising multiple children from within the family who also survive him.

Cremation was chosen by the deceased prior to his passing. He also has requested a small non-traditional joint service with his wife who preceded him in death. Burial mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Romeo, CO at 10:00am on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Internment to follow at Los Cerritos Cemetery in Manassa, CO.
