Janet Noland celebrates 75th birthday

MONTE VISTA — Family and friends gathered at the First Christian Church (DOC) in Monte Vista on August 26 to celebrate the 75th — three quarters of a century — birthday of Janet Noland.

Following a light lunch, Master of Ceremonies James Anderson introduced the family members.  Janet gave a review of the one quarter, one half, and three quarter century marks in her life.

Entertainment included the following: Stacey and grandchildren Cadyn, Meghan, and Holland Anderson singing “Jesus Loves Me”; grandchildren Valera and Beau Noland performing a dance routine to the song “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning”; and Judy Drake playing “In My Heart There Rings a Melody” on the piano.

Janet then introduced her friend, Pat Henderson, and her friend and DNHS 1960 classmate, Judy Drake who also celebrated 75th birthdays this year. “Happy Birthday” was sung to the honoree accompanied by Judy Drake.  The 75 numeral candles were blown out and the birthday cake was served to those present.

Out of town family members attending were James and Rebecca Anderson from Monument; John, Stacey, Cadyn, Meghan, and Holland Anderson from Colorado Springs; and Dale, Amanda, Valera, and Beau Noland from Westminster.
