In court Monday

ALAMOSA — Monday was a busy day in the Alamosa courts as several sentencing hearings took place.

Cases of note included:

• Alejandro Sandoval was sentenced to 30 months in the Department of Corrections, one year of jail, and an additional concurrent 20 months in the Department of Corrections. Sandoval pled guilty to controlled substance abuse, resisting arrest, vehicular eluding in Alamosa County. This is in addition to numerous other charges that Sandoval faces across the state.

• Joshua Reyes pled guilty to felony menacing and resisting arrest. He also faces a charge of proven domestic violence. Reyes also faces charges in the State of Wyoming and concurrent charges in Rio Grande County.

Both of these cases are ongoing as they each involve offenses in other judicial districts.
