Ida Dopp, 92

Ida Dopp, 92, of Salida died July 9, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born Jan. 10, 1926, in Alamosa to Antonio and Rafilita Trujillo.

During her elementary years she learned to swim in a creek. She became an avid swimmer and swam well into her later years.

She married Jose Quintana, Jr., in Alamosa, and in 1967 the family moved to Salida, where they lived until his death in 1983.

She married Francis Dopp in 1988, and they lived in Salida until his death in 2007.

For 13 years she was employed by the city of Salida, where she managed the hot baths at Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center.

She worked for Home Health Care in Salida, where her care touched many lives.

Mrs. Dopp spent many years volunteering her time for the Hospital Auxiliary.

She was a member for many years at Upper Room Church of God. She and Nellie Montoya, her best friend, spent Saturdays cleaning and helping in all aspects of the church.

Mrs. Dopp loved to sing and sang at many funerals for friends and family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother, Robert Trujillo; son Anthony Montoya; and sister, Cecilia Ortega.

Survivors include her sons Dave Quintana, Gilbert Quintana, Larry Quirico, Jimmy Quirico and Freddie Quirico-Trujillo; daughters, Audrey Montoya, Tina Roybal, Donna (Jim) McLearn and Loretta (John) McCord; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; sister Lucy Jaramillo; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. July 12, 2018, at Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home in Salida.

Her funeral services will be at 11 a.m. July 13, 2018, at Upper Room Church of God at 11th and I streets. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery
