Alamosa resident Helen Elsie Wetherill, 65, passed away April 23, 2018 at her home with her family and caretakers by her side. Helen was born on August 1, 1952 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Carroll Clayton Wetherill and Florence Eisele Wetherill. Helen was an outgoing and loving person. She enjoyed going shopping with friends, traveling and spending as much time as possible with her family and friends.

Survivors include her sisters JoAnne (John) Vigil, Ada Whittle and Anji Wetherill. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Carroll and Florence Wetherill, biological parents Eliseo and Petra Romero, two sisters Carol Ann Wetherill and Barbara Kay Wetherill.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. Interment will follow at the Chicago Cemetery in Saguache. Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 1-5 PM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa.
