Harold G. Martin, died on October 19, 2021 in the comfort of his own home surround by his loving family.  He was born October 24, 1959 in Pueblo, CO to parents, Harold D. Martin and Barbara J. (Abel) Martin. Harold is survived by his wife: Dawn (Glunz) Martin of Alamosa, CO, Sons: Harold G. Martin J.R. (D’Anna) Martin of Alamosa, CO and Jarrad Martin of Alamosa CO, Grandchildren: Maverick Martin of Alamosa, CO, Mother: Barbara Martin of Monte Vista, CO, Sister: Judy (Rob) Phillips of Monte Vista, CO, and Niece: Johanna (Joe) Malouff of Albuquerque, NM and Nephew: Colton Phillips of Monte Vista, CO. He is predeceased by his father: Harold D. Martin.

Harold moved from Pueblo, CO to Center, CO his senior year of high school. He then graduated from Center High School. Harold always dreamt about driving a truck, after watching his father drive, he just knew that’s what he wanted to do. Though he was a jack of all trades he eventually decided to follow his passion and picked up a set of keys to follow that long white line. Harold met the love of his life, Dawn. After only eight months he married Dawn on March 31, 1990. Shortly to follow his first son J.R. was born. Four years to follow came Jarrad.

The only thing Harold loved more than driving truck was his boys, but more importantly his wife. For that love he hung up his keys and picked up some wire. He worked as an electrician until he day his body didn’t let him. Years later he found his new love, his grandson Maverick. Harold then spent the rest of his days caring for and loving this little boy with all his being. Harold also found much joy in horses, westerns, hunting and fishing, and tinkering with just about anything.

Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Rogers Family Mortuary (404 Morris St, Monte Vista, CO 81144) starting at 11:00 am.
