Greg Allen Peterson was born February 3, 1963, and died October 2, 2021, from complications with Covid Pneumonia.  Greg was a Farmer North of Monte Vista, Colorado.  He grew up in the Sargent area and graduated in the Sargent High class of 1981.  He went on to earn a degree in Diesel Mechanics from Wyoming Tech.  His love in life was farming, riding snowmobiles, hunting, and collecting toy tractors.  He was often found at the Campus Café, Sunflour Café and the Gunbarrel Station surrounded by his friends.

Greg is survived by his parents Ronald and Judy Peterson of Monte Vista, Colorado, sister Lisa(Rick) Robirds of Monte Vista, CO, brother Mark (Michele)Peterson, of Monte Vista, CO, sister Tricia (Rodney) Clemens of Phoenix, AZ; his nieces Kayla (Jerett) Lazor, Bethany (Shea Williams) Robirds, Megan Peterson, Samantha Clemens; his nephews Jacob Robirds, Micheal Peterson, Mitchell Peterson and Steven Clemens; great-nephews Blake and Oliver Lazor; special family friends, Bill Torgler and Tammy Torgler.

Greg was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Melvin and Goldie Peterson and Reed and Bertha Whittier.

He will be missed by many friends and family.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista.  Cremation will follow the visitation and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at the Sargent Community Church with interment of ashes following in the Monte Vista Cemetery.  Family and Friends will be gathering after services back at the Church.
