Go back to school with Spines

ALAMOSA — Teachers, home schoolers and students of all ages are invited to look for classroom materials, textbooks, useful references, and good reads at the Friends of the Library August sale. The sale will be held on August 5th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Spines, located just off the alley in the rear of the Alamosa Post Office. Educational materials will be half price on this day only.

Recent donations to Spines include a large number of photography books and a collection of 1980’s and 1990’s car repair manuals. Check out the materials on the FREE table. We might have just what you were looking for.

FOL volunteers have done a tremendous job of sorting and cataloging mystery and adult fiction selections. Patrons looking for a specific author can now go to the specific letter of the last name. Also watch for categories that have been relocated on the shelves.

Funds from the sales at Spines and the Book Nook go towards special collections and projects in the public library. Volunteers may contact Allyn Lewis at 719-588-9410. Donations of books may be made at Spines on sale days and at the library during business hours. Other inquiries should be directed to Rhonda Borders, 719-580-2010.
