ALAMOSA — Girl Scout Troop #36252 delivered 50 books Monday, April 12, 2021, to Valley-Wide Health Systems (VWHS) -Reach Out and Read program.  “During their regular meeting, the scouts ranging of daisy, brownie, juniors and 2 leaders discussed different service projects and decided it would be nice to donate to VWHS- Reach Out and Read program. The books were purchased with the money they earned from this year’s cookie sales.” said Melissa Dominguez.

Troop leaders continue to guide the girls through community service.  “This is a great way to share their story by donating storybooks. The books will be placed in our clinics waiting area for young children to take home.” said Julie Gomez-Nuanes, VWHS-Reach Out and Read Site Coordinator.  Special thanks to Troop Leaders:  Melissa Dominguez & Brittany Sours.  Girl Scouts:  Abi, Brooke, Bri, Emma, Noelle, Emmi, Nakyia, Lilian, Lola and Saphhira.
