ALAMOSA -- Library Manager Salai Taylor accepted a donation from the Friends of the Alamosa Library committee on April 20, 2021. The nonprofit organization normally donates $5,000 as part of its annual commitment to help the library provide materials and information services to the residents and visitors of Alamosa and the San Luis Valley, and was able to meet this goal again this year.

“I would like to thank the Friends of the Library for all their hard work year round to help the library,” said Taylor. “They are an awesome group of dedicated volunteers.”

The first book sale for the Friends of the Alamosa Library is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, at Spines, located behind the Alamosa post office. For more information about the Friends of the Alamosa Library, please go to https://www.alamosalibrary.org/volunteer/join-friends/
