Fourth Annual Rio Reels Film Festival – October 30

Hosted by the Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project, the fourth annual Rio Reels Film Festival will take place Friday, October 30 from 7:30-9:30pm. The event, which will be held virtually this year, features several river-related short films and inspiring speakers. Premiering as part of the event is a brand new film made by American Rivers and focused on water availability in the San Luis Valley. Other film topics include Rio Grande cutthroat trout, sandhill cranes, agriculture, and building wooden boats for the Grand Canyon!

Also included in the event is an online silent auction and raffle! General admission tickets are $10, but a limited number of VIP tickets are also available to San Luis Valley residents. The VIP package includes a special delivery of wine, Salazar cured meats, Laz Ewe goat cheese courtesy of Valley Roots Food Hub and more delivered to your door! Order as soon as possible to reserve your VIP package and have it for event night! They are only available until 5pm, October 23rd. To purchase tickets, go to https://qudio.com/event/Rioreels2020 and click Register Now!

Proceeds from this event go to projects that improve water quality, wildlife habitat, recreation and the overall condition of the Rio Grande headwaters!

Thank you to American Rivers, Robins Construction, Stone’s Farm Supply, Conejos Water Conservancy District, San Luis Valley Irrigation District, Stephen Quiller, and the other local artists and businesses who have generously sponsored this event and donated to the silent auction.
