Faith is women's conference topic

ALAMOSA — “Faith Like A Mustard Seed” is the theme of the 30th Annual Southern Colorado Women’s Conference scheduled October 6-7 at Calvary Bible Chapel, 7160 Brush Lane, Alamosa.

Speaker will be speaker and author Linda Evans Shepherd of Longmont, and music will be shared by the Gateway Church Praise Team of Del Norte (Maureen and Helen Smith and Amy Dean.)

The conference will feature “Faith Never Shrinks in Hot Water” on Friday, Oct. 6, from 7-9 p.m., and “Faith Lift” and “Live Your Live as an Act of Worship” during the Saturday sessions, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost for the entire conference is $45; and for Friday evening only, $15. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. Childcare and scholarships are available.

The theme text for this year’s conference is Matthew 17:20: “If you have faith as a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for you.”

Christian Retailing Magazine compares Linda to both Beth Moore and Stormy Omartian while Dr. John DeBrine, the host of the radio show Songtime USA, said Linda reminds him of a little lady he met in the sixties by the name of Corrie ten Boom.
