Extravaganza features Salida Circus

ALAMOSA – Aerialists, marimbists, acrobats, percussionists, and magicians will delight all ages. The Adams State University Department of Music Percussion Extravaganza will perform with the Salida Circus at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in Richardson Hall Auditorium.

Transformations, a performance with interesting costuming, makeup, and aerialists, will be Cirque de Soleil in nature. The 1 p.m. concert is recommended for children

Directed by Dr. James Doyle, the program will include Mallet Quartet by Steve Reich, Wah by Juri Seo, Gravity by Marc Mellits, There Were Once by Andrea La Rose, Second Thoughts by Evan Chapman, and Ttraditional works of Brazil, Mexico, and Guatemala.

Sponsored by the Alamosa Live Music Association, tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
