Enjoy lighting ceremony this evening

ALAMOSA — The 10th Annual Alamosa Celebration of Lights will once again feature the traditional lighting of the Alamosa Municipal Complex (300 Hunt Ave.), starting at 5:30 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 17. Then, the procession will make its way down to the Alamosa County Courthouse (702 E. 4th St.) for the lighting of the historic courthouse. Afterward, Society Hall (400 Ross Ave.) will host a performance by two Adams State University music ensembles, beginning at 6 pm. Warm up and enjoy this FREE performance before heading on to downtown Alamosa, where jolly old St. Nick will be flying in to the Alamosa Home store (630 Main St.). Kids can share their Christmas wishes with Santa starting at 6:30 p.m. Take your own photo with Santa, and then enjoy some hot cocoa and a cookie.
