Elva Fedelina Salazar

Longtime Romeo resident Elva Fedelina Salazar, 87, died June 26, 2021 at the San Luis Care Center in Alamosa. 

Elva was born in Ortiz, Colorado on July 5, 1933 the proud daughter of Armenio Salazar and Rosabel (Vigil) Salazar.  She was one of nine children.

In her younger years, Elva enjoyed dancing.  She was an avid reader and read many religious books and romance novels.  She liked to cook for her family and in her spare time enjoyed watching westerns on television.

She is survived by her nephews Wilfred Martinez of Antonito/Romeo, Ernest (Pauline) Martinez of San Antonio and Gary (Karen) Martinez of Aurora, CO; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Elva is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Doroteo Salazar, Moises M. Salazar, her sisters Rosana A. Salazar, Adonaisa Salazar, Albenia Salazar, Ida Salazar, Romonsita (Salazar) Vigil, Margarita (Salazar) Martinez, Matilde (Salazar) Gallegos and Juanita R. Salazar.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Manassa.  A Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m.  on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos.  Interment will follow services in the Ortiz Cemetery.
