Edward Valdez

Ypsilanti, Michigan

 

Edward Anthony Valdez, 62, was born in Alamosa, Colorado to Margaret and Tony Valdez.

 

He attended and graduated from Alamosa High School 1978.

 

Ed enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, watching sporting events, eating great food, and spending time with his two daughters. He was a music aficionado, he could tell you the names of bands and their members, especially from the rock-n-roll era.

 

He served 7 years in the Army. He was an infantry solider and belonged to the 82nd Airborne Division. He was stationed in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and did tours in El Salvador and Seoul Korea as a guard on the Demilitarized Zone.  He was Honorary Discharged from the Army as a Sergeant.

 

He lived in Los Angeles, New York, and Denver. He made his home in Ypsilanti, MI with his two daughters.

 

Ed was preceded in death by his beloved Mother, Margaret, both sets of grandparents, and two younger sisters Kathy and one who was still born. Ed is survived by his two daughters Bethany and Brieanna Valdez. Siblings Monica Valdez, Mark Valdez, Tracey (Max) Gallegos, Chris Valdez, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

He was cremated and his ashes will be lovingly scattered in places he loved, at his request.
