Ft. Garland resident Earl Ramon Martinez, 59, passed away October 4, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side. Earl was born on March 5, 1958 in Ft. Garland, Colorado, the beloved son of Delfino Martinez and Olivia Segura Martinez. Earl worked for many years as a supervisor for the Colorado Department of Transportation. He was an incredible and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who enjoyed going fishing and boating, camping, going for rides on his Harley and spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Earl was gifted with his talent for car restoration and carpentry. He was also known for his generous heart and always helping others. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife Cindy Fantasia-Martinez of Ft. Garland, CO; mother Olivia Martinez of Ft. Garland, CO; children Sandi Martinez of Ft. Garland, CO; Tracy Trujillo of Thornton, CO; Bobbi (Brandy) Smith of Commerce City, CO; grandchildren Shursteen Sharpe, Kyle Sharp, Tawni Smith, Morgan Smith, brothers Dale (Barbara) Martinez, Bill (Liz) Martinez, Vernon (Silvia) Martinez all of Ft. Garland, CO; Matthew (Esmeralda) Martinez of Blanca, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his father Delfino Martinez and one son Gabriel Martinez.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Blanca Ft. Garland Community Center. Interment will follow at the Ft. Garland Cemetery. The care of arrangements have been  entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa.
