Donald Churchill Stephens was born in Alamosa, Colorado on March 22, 1955 to Gary and Betty Stephens.  He died in Fowler under Hospice care on April 12, 2018.

He graduated from Alamosa High School in 1973, and was an accomplished combiner, mechanic, truck driver, bus driver, and devoted Pastor.

Don married Sandra Kay Flaugh on May 19, 1978.  They have two daughters Sherrie (Paul) Price of Odenton, Maryland, and Jennifer (Shawn) Thedell of Nashville, Tennessee and granddaughter Jessa.

Don is survived by his mother Betty Stephens of Alamosa, sister Nancy (Paul) Minow of Alamosa, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Edward Stephens.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at the Pitkin Avenue Baptist Church  301 7th St. Fowler, Co where Don had been pastor for the past four years.

In lieu of flowers, Don requested memorial donations be given to Pitkin Avenue Baptist Church, or Sangre De Cristo Hospice.
