LA JARA — A civilian detention deputy with the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Department was arrested for DUI early Sunday, July 8, according to police reports.

La Jara Police Chief Jerry Lujan confirmed Sgt. Roberto Campos had stopped Enriquez Maez, 32, and cited him for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Alamosa County Sheriff Robert Jackson said he is aware of the situation and action is pending departmental hearings.
