Longtime Center resident Dennis Neal Crown, 65, passed away September 23, 2018 in Pueblo, Colorado.
Dennis was born May 30, 1953 in Monte Vista, CO to Elmer Crown and Bethene Burnett. Dennis graduated from Center High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business from Adams State University. He went on to become a certified fraud examiner and tax preparer. Earlier in his life, Dennis worked as a mechanic and owned and operated a grain elevator and pellet mill.
Dennis relished spending time outdoors, traveling, gardening, and in his younger years, cross-country skiing. He also loved taking his wife Sandy country western dancing. Dennis enjoyed his time with people, his friends and those he worked with.
Dennis is survived by his wife Sandy Crown of Center, his sister Jeannie (Charles) Dillon of Denver, his children Christopher (Amber) Crown of Center, Jay (Christine) Van Voorst of Eagle, and Jerry (Kristi) Van Voorst of Apache Junction AZ, and 9 grandchildren including Craig Crown of Center.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Bethene Crown, his brother Ronald Crown, and his sister Maxine Crown.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at New Life Fellowship, 520 Seventh Street, Del Norte CO.
