COLORADO — It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of David Earl DePue Jr. On Friday, July 31, 2020, at the age of 32, he went to be with our Heavenly Father. Born on March 4, 1988, in Bend, Oregon, he was the son of Laura Bertini and David DePue Sr.

David spent his school years in Helper and Price Utah. He worked as a coal miner and then a landscaper in Utah and Colorado. He enjoyed mechanics, guns, motorcycles, the outdoors and spending time with his family, oftentimes teaching his nieces and nephews how to fish

David is survived by his two daughters Noelani and Anuhea DePue. His parents Laura and Kevin Bertini, CO and David and Angie DePue, Oregon, his brother Shawn DePue (Oregon), his sisters: Emily (DePue) Nelson of (Colorado), Ashley DePue (Colorado), Ruby Bertini (Colorado), Melissa Bertini (Oregon), Brittany True (Texas), Ashley Turk (Oregon); and his grandparents Lyle and Linda Greenwood (Lakeview, Oregon). He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, as well as too many cousins to list who cared for him greatly as did all of his family. Our love will continue

David was preceded in death by his grandparents Lorelei Greenwood (Oregon), Earl and Dorothy DePue (Oregon), Mark and Margaret Bertini (Colorado)

We take comfort in knowing that David is surrounded by light, free from the struggle that haunted him. We would have given anything for him to experience that freedom during his time here on Earth. Our grief over losing him is infinite.

A celebration of Life will be planned for the spring.
