Daniel Rudolph Avila

Alamosa resident Daniel Rudolph Avila, 25, gained his angel wings on August 31, 2021 at the young age of 25. Daniel made his grand entrance into the world on November 13, 1995 in Alamosa, Colorado. He was the beloved son of Robert Avila and Dannette Jacquez Avila.

Daniel was a gentle and loving soul. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains and camping under the stars with his family. His greatest passion in life was music. He was a very talented artist and producer. If he wasn’t being a DJ at a party or on KRZA radio he was recording and producing music in his recording studio. Over the years he was part of several bands bringing many musicians together. He was a very proud and talented guitarist and drummer. He most recently was a drummer for the band Indian Nickel. When he wasn’t making people smile with his music he was giving them heck about their football team. He was the most devoted Raiders fan, win or lose, he was their #1 fan. Above all, Daniel loved spending time with his mom and dad and being surrounded by his family.  He absolutely adored his nieces and nephews. He was an exceptional son, brother, uncle, Nino, nephew, cousin and loving friend. Daniel was full of compassion and generosity and was a man of faith; he was always willing to help out a friend in need. His smile and laugh was contagious and would brighten any room he walked into. Daniel always loved others with his whole heart. He will be dearly missed by all.

He will live on through his parents Robert and Dannette Avila of Alamosa, CO; brother David (Sophia) Avila of Alamosa, CO; sisters Roberta (Mike) Gutierrez of Garland, TX; Lily Valdez (Mark Drass) of Gilcrest, CO; nephews Tim Gutierrez, Brian Gutierrez, Jackson Sutton, Jeffery Sutton and Isaiah Avila; nieces Amanda Gutierrez, Isabella Avila and Ava Avila who was also his precious Goddaughter; his Godparents Rudy and Jacque of Colorado Springs, CO; John and Juana Avila of Alamosa, CO; Emilia and Ruben Herrera of Alamosa, CO. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends.
