CPW welcomes cyclists for Bike Your Park Day 2018

STATEWIDE — Colorado Parks and Wildlife welcomes bicyclists statewide to join in a celebration of our public lands and parks on Sept. 29 for Bike Your Park Day 2018. This worldwide event coordinated by the Adventure Cycling Association encourages riders to get outside and explore public lands and parks by bicycle. In the past two years, over 20,000 people in 50 states and 10 countries have participated in Bike Your Park Day.

This year, four Colorado State Parks will be holding official Bike Your Park Day events, inviting the public to explore their unique trails on two wheels. Visit the CPW biking page to view more details on these Bike Your Park Day rides and begin planning your adventure today.

Colorado’s state parks offer over 700 miles of trails, with a variety of both road and mountain biking trails that will satisfy and challenge cyclists at any level of experience. Bike Your Park Day provides an excellent opportunity to appreciate the varied and beautiful biking trails of Colorado’s state parks. If your favorite state park isn’t hosting an event, CPW encourages you to choose a park and plan your own ride.

Cyclists interested in creating their own Bike Your Park Day event can register to create a custom event on the Adventure Cycling Association website, or simply search the interactive map to find and join an established event near you. All official registrants for the event are eligible to win prizes, including new bikes and an Amtrak trip to Glacier National Park.
