COVID-19 and Tu Casa, Inc.

ALAMOSA — Until further notice, the Tu Casa, Inc. (Tu Casa and Children’s Advocacy Center of the San Luis Valley) office space will be closed to the public, and staff will be working remotely. However, we want everyone in our community to know that we are still offering services.

If you are in an emergency situation, please do not hesitate to call us. If you, or anyone you know, are in need of our services, please call our 24-hour hotline at (719) 589-2465. In compliance with CDC recommendations, our staff, interns, and volunteers are implementing a social distancing policy. This means we will be doing the majority of our work from home.

However, we want to stress that we are still providing services and that no one should hesitate to reach out if they are in a dangerous situation. Tu Casa and the Children’s Advocacy Center of the San Luis Valley recognize that our services are essential to the health and safety of those most vulnerable in our community. We will serve our clients to the best of our ability within this capacity while being responsible community members and avoiding the spread of disease.

It is essential that we remember our fellow humans and take care of one another, showing compassion and working proactively not out of fear. We ask all to listen to the healthcare professionals and leading scientists, maintain proper hygiene by washing your hands often and for 20 seconds, practice social distancing, and make sure your fellow community members are okay.
