Cord Mark Crowther

Lifetime Sanford resident Cord Mark Crowther, 44, died May 5, 2022, from medical complications, at the Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by his loving family.

Cord was welcomed to this world on August 15, 1977 in La Jara, Colorado, to proud parents Mark Howard and Marlene Crowther. Cord served a church mission from 1996-1998 in Quito, Ecuador. He married and was sealed for time and eternity to the love of his life, Mandy Hutchins, on June 12, 2003 in the Albuquerque, New Mexico Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Cord was a husband, father, cowboy and rancher. His favorite times were those spent with his family both at home and in the mountains chasing animals. He was a kind and friendly person who made friends wherever he went. He was a very patient father and helped his kids learn to work hard, love the Lord and develop the skills of “cowboying”. Cord was a man of great faith who he loved Jesus Christ His gospel.

He is survived by his wife Mandy Crowther of Sanford, CO; his children Colby, Casen, Misty, and Maisley of the family home; his mother Marlene Crowther of Sanford, CO; his siblings Audrey (Rodney) Gibson of Bountiful, CO, Tandi (Brock) Canty of Sanford, CO and Shad (Brianna) Crowther of Sanford, CO; as well as numerous extended family and a host of friends.

Cord is preceded in death by his father Mark Crowther as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Cultural Hall at the Sanford Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A second Visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 from 10-10:45 a.m. in the Relief Society Room. A Funeral Service will be follow on Friday at 11:00 a.m. also at the Sanford Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will take place in the Sanford Cemetery.
