CAPULIN — Cora Mary Quintana, 93, passed away in her family home of 77 years and went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Cora came into the world on July 25, 1926, in Capulin, CO the daughter of Eliseo Gallegos and Benita Rivera-Gallegos.

Cora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed word puzzles, watching her novelas, praying the rosary; taking care of grandchildren and teaching them to make tortillas and empanadas; traveling, gambling and especially spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include: daughter, Elizabeth Jiron of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Richard (Sara) Quintana, Capulin, CO; Paul (Mary Jane) Quintana, Alamosa; Raymond (Laurie) Quintana, Peter Quintana, Anthony Quintana, Michael (Maria) Quintana -- all of Capulin; Kenny (Teresa) Quintana, Albuquerque; and Joseph Lee (Ella Mae) Quintana, Capulin;

21 Grandchildren; 42 Great Grandchildren; 11 Great Great Grandchildren; sisters, Magdelena Gonzales, La Jara; Naomi (Ernie) Salazar, Alamosa; Rita Gallegos, Pueblo; Marie Gallegos, La Jara; brother, David (Josie) Gallegos, La Jara.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents, Eliseo and Benita Gallegos; her husband, Rudolph A. Quintana; grandson, Anthony Quintana, Jr.; granddaughter, Jadyn Quintana; sister, Cecilia Gonzales; brothers, Joe Gallegos and Louis Gallegos; and son-in-law, Jesus Jiron.
