ALAMOSA — As a part of the relocation of the power poles and associated electric lines on the north side of First Street, Xcel has scheduled the tie over for 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning. This will cause a 10-minute power outage that will affect the university, the hospital campus, and area neighborhoods. Xcel is handling the necessary notifications.

In addition, this is the newest tentative schedule for the City of Alamosa’s work in the intersection of Murphy and First.

Closures will start at 9 a.m. daily, and re-open as soon as practical.

Monday, July 17

Tuesday, July 18

Finish 12” sewer, close First St. at Victoria and Pike, close Murphy

Wednesday, July 19

12” Storm sewer, close First St. at Victoria and Pike, close Pike northbound traffic, close Murphy

Thursday, July 20

12” Storm sewer, close First St. at Victoria and Pike, close Murphy
