The San Luis Valley Tourism Association held the annual tourism conference on Wednesday at Adams State. Attendees networked while listening to presentations from many local organizations, including the VIP Group, SLV DRG, SBDC, SLV NHA, SLV GO and more.

County Panel: Representatives from the six counties discussed their efforts and challenges in attracting visitors to their respective areas. Keynote speaker Ty Coleman, left, led a powerful presentation reminding attendees of the importance of cooperation, communication and collaboration. Likening group efforts to a rock tumbler, he said “when you work with teams/groups; you’re going to have friction. Someone’s going to make some loud noise! You’re going to tumble around with others; someone’s going to cause drama, but those actions will polish you,” Coleman said. “The unified efforts will bring you together to achieve more.”
