ALAMOSA — VEGI and the Alamosa Community Garden join together to offer a cold frame building workshop on Sunday, February 25, from 2-4 p.m. at Boyd Community Garden between 11th and 12th and State (just two blocks east of the Community Greenhouse) in Alamosa. This will be a hands-on workshop, so bring work gloves and dress appropriately for outdoor activity. The workshop is free, but donations to these nonprofit groups will be accepted.

Co-hosting non-profit groups, VEGI (Vegetable Educational Garden Initiative) and the Alamosa Community Greenhouse will lead this hands-on workshop. Cold frames are utilized by gardeners in cold climates the world over to extend the growing season for vegetable production. The workshop will share details about size, shape, site location, sun orientation, proximity to water supply and box maintenance.
