Alamosa Public Works Director Mark Wright, left, reviews proposed plans for the next phase of First Street reconstruction with neighborhood residents during a public meeting at city hall on Wednesday evening, December 12. The project represents the third phase of First Street reconstruction and is anticipated to begin next spring. This phase will address First Street from Murphy Drive through Victoria Street and will include the realignment of the Stuart Avenue intersection. Wright talked with residents about trees and fences in the city right of way and how the project might impact them. He also addressed parking and traffic constrictions that might occur during the reconstruction process. Wright assured residents the city would notify them of construction impacts.
