Cattlemen’s dinner is January 6

ALAMOSA — It’s time again for the SLV Cattlemen’s Annual Business Meeting and Dinner.

Organizers are very excited to be able to host a Beef Quality Assurance Course and have Cowboy Poet Floyd Beard as a special guest. Beard, a lifetime cowboy, sixth-generation rancher, and 2016 WMA Male Poet of the Year, comes from southeastern Colorado. Drawing from his own experiences and observations of the western way of life, Floyd delights his audience with humor and by bringing alive original, classics and contemporary cowboy poetry.

The Annual Meeting will be held on January 6th, 2018 with the BQA course from 3-5 p.m., business meeting from 5-5:30 p.m. and Cowboy Poet & Dinner at 6 p.m. at the Alamosa Rec Center, 2222 Old Sanford Rd, Alamosa.

Join in an informational afternoon, prime rib dinner and silent auction!

Libby Bigler, Colorado BQA coordinator with Colorado State University, will present the BQA Course.

Please RSVP by January 1st to Erin Nissen, 719-480-2600.
