Caroline Lowry Garner

TRINIDAD — Caroline Lowry Garner of Trinidad, Colo., formerly Denver, was born in Del Norte, Colo. May 26, 1943 to Guy and Mildred Lowry.

Caroline went to be with our Lord and Savoir April 18, 2019.

She attended Sargent School where, due to her sparkling personality, she was blessed with many honors.

After graduation in 1961, she attended Adams State College for a short time.

She then moved to Denver where she married and was blessed with two wonderful sons.  

In 1978, she went to work for Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) until her retirement in 1998.

During her employment with RTD she was awarded “Driver of the Year” once again due to her bubbly personality, her bus driving ability and dedication.  

Upon retirement she traveled the world and enjoyed meeting people and making more friends. Caroline was not a comedian, but had an uncanny gift to make people laugh.

Everyone enjoyed being around her.

Caroline had the ability to make everyone feel special.

Caroline is survived by her sons, Guy Wesley (Shannon) Garner and Clinton (Michele) Garner; grandchildren, Jacob Garner, Jeremy Garner, Jordyn Garner, Jace Garner, Trevor Garner and Taylor Garner, all of Thornton, Colo. She is survived by her siblings, Tom Lowry of Thornton, Virginia (Jay) Cusimano of Trinidad, Colo. and Gary Lowry of Trinidad, Colo.; and sister-in-law, Patsy Lowry, Pueblo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mildred Lowry; and brothers, Ron Lowry and Richard (Dick) Lowry.

Caroline will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

As Caroline requested, a memorial was held at her son’s home in Thornton, while Caroline was still able to receive friends and family.

There will be no other services.
