Candlelight tour at the Fort

A Living History Fall Encampment will be held at Fort Garland Museum on Saturday, Sept. 16.  Throughout the day historians with the Fort Garland Memorial Regiment will present activities and displays that depict 19th century garrison life at Fort Garland. Activities begin at 9 a.m. Saturday with the Flag Raising Ceremony, also known as the Posting of the Colors. Saturday evening at 7 p.m. there will be a candlelight tour of the museum. Experience Fort Garland at night and hear Jack Rudder, re-enactor, historian and author, share tales of possible hauntings at the Fort.
