Brown, Barnum exchange vows

MOSCA — Former San Luis Valley resident Captain Caleb Brown, United States Marine Corps, graduated June 16 with his master’s degree in applied physics from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California. His thesis was on ” Marine Corps Artillery Effectiveness Against Surface Vessels.”

On July 1 Caleb married Dana Barnum in Monterey, California. The wedding was held at the Old Whaling Station Adobe Historic Site. The best man was Mark Rothrock from Durham, N.C., and the matron of honor was Elizabeth Moskowitz from San Diego, California. There were numerous out of town guests present including former roommates and friends from college and from the US Marine Corps. 

Caleb graduated from Sangre De Cristo High School in 2004 and from Colorado State University in 2008.  His parents are Wayne and Faye Brown from Mosca. Dana’s parents are Michael and Lisa Barnum from Yorktown, Virginia.

Dana and Caleb will make their home in Annapolis, MD where Caleb will be an instructor at the US Naval Academy and Dana will work as a CT and MRI tech at a local hospital.
