Book sale set May 6

ALAMOSA — Friends of the Alamosa Library did not hold sales at Spines over the winter, but now that folks have finished reading all the books they set aside for the winter, it is time to find new material. The first sale of the season will be on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Spines, located just north of the Alamosa Post Office near the skateboard park.

Spines offers used books in multiple fiction and non-fiction categories, CDs, DVDs, video games, and magazines. Look over the FREE table for a good book, perhaps in less than perfect condition. There will also be sheet music and occasionally, games or puzzles. Check out the special regional section for books about Colorado and find just the right guidebook for summer travels.

Friends of the Library is a non-profit group supporting efforts of the public library to encourage literacy and the enjoyment of reading. Volunteers to help with the sale or other group activities may sign up at the library or contact Rhonda Borders, 719-580-2010. Book donations will be accepted at the sale.
