Board of County Commissioners meeting Wednesday

ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) are scheduled for a regular meeting this Wednesday, July 28.

Contributing to the public hearing portion of Wednesday’s meeting The Board of County Commissioners will hear proposals on both minor and major subdivisions. On the agenda, James and Sharon Bieriger have two proposals. One at 7010 Lane 11 North, Mosca and another at 11533 North County Rd 108 asking to split them into two and three tracts respectively.

Also being heard will be the Rio Grande Water Conservation District seeking to divide property at 8106 North County Rd 111, Mosca seeking two tracts. Matthew & Chester Yoder are the final subdivision request to be heard as the applicants are proposing to develop Filing 2 of the Yoder Ridgetop Subdivision.

The BOCC will also be squeezing in a few appointments before their first break.

Julie Adams will present the Junior Livestock Sale to the board on behalf of Jr. Livestock Sale Boosters, Megan Martinez will present an update to the board on behalf of the 12th Judicial District Attorney and Alamosa County Emergency Manager Eric Treinen will present a Hazard Mitigation Plan,

Following the break, the BOCC will be receive updates from Tineel Baroz on USDA Rural Housing, Christy Doon on the Department of Local Affairs, and Brent Turner on COLOTRUST

Persons speaking during Public Comment will be limited to three minutes, or depending on the number of people wishing to speak, it may be reduced to allow all members of the public the opportunity to address the board.
