ALAMOSA — The Alamosa Alumni Association will host a “Birthday at the Bricks” celebration on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. in honor of the late Jerry “Reedo” Reed’s 70th birthday. The association will offer free cake at the AHS stadium brick area, in addition to a balloon release, music, sharing of memories and more.

Reed was an Alamosa High School educator for nearly 30 years. Following his retirement he continued to mentor students of all ages, as a substitute teacher, Alamosa Alumni Association founder and friend. He’s respected and remembered by many for his loud laugh, smiling eyes and huge heart.

The association is asking everyone that knew Reed to join them in celebrating.
