SOUTH FORK– In honor of Woodsy Owl’s 50th birthday, the Rio Grande National Forest (RGNF) will host an area cleanup event at Big Meadows Reservoir on Friday from 8-10 a.m.

Woodsy is “America’s original symbol of outdoor stewardship and efforts are underway to keep the RGNF beautiful.

Participants are encouraged to meet at 8 a.m. at the South Fork Visitor Center to carpool to the site. Some water will be provided but volunteers are asked to bring their own snacks.
