Beware of jury duty scam
ALAMOSA — Several citizens have been getting calls about owing Alamosa County money due to missing jury duty. Though the caller uses the name of a real deputy, Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office wants people to know that it is a scam.
“The courts don’t do business that way,” said Alamosa County Sheriff Robert Jackson. “If there was a warrant then a deputy would appear at your door.”
Anyone who receives a suspicious message should not act on them and instead call the department at 719-589-6608 if they have concerns.
