San Luis resident Bertha Medina, passed away March 27, 2020, in Colorado Springs, Colorado . She was born April 5, 1930 to Patricio Atencio and Rosanita, Sanchez Atencio in Chama, Co., Costilla County.

Bertha worked all her life as a housewife, her passion was gardening and flowers. Oh, she loved flowers.

Bertha was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great -grandmother, she had a big heart and a lot of love for her family. She was a sister, aunt and friend to many. She is survived by daughter Patricia

(Hal) Barnett of Fountain, CO., sons Amos (Lydia) Medina of Aurora, CO, Ernest (Zolanda) Medina of

Peyton, CO., Randy {Lisa) Medina of Littleton, CO., seven grandchildren: Albert, Pamela, Jason, Carlos, Brandon, Noah, Celena Medina and 11 Great -Grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents Patricio & Rosanita Atencio, her husband Gabriel Medina, two sons Albert and Karl Medina, three sisters and one brother.

A Funeral Service will be held at a later date.
