New Alamosa Police Officer Ryan Veneman addresses the Alamosa city council during its December 5th meeting. Alamosa Police Chief Ken Anderson introduced Officer Veneman, who was born and raised in Alamosa, attended Adams State University and is married with two children. He began his career in law enforcement as a game warden in New Mexico but moved back to Alamosa to be closer to family and friends and has chosen to serve in the Alamosa Police Department. “It is an honor and privilege,” Officer Veneman said. He particularly thanked his wife and children for their support of his career choice because it is not always easy for them, and his parents for their support and guidance. “You are joining a great team,” Alamosa Mayor Ty Coleman told Officer Veneman.
