ASU, TSJC offer tax prep assistance

ALAMOSA — Trinidad State Junior College, 1011 Main Street, Learning Center, Alamosa, will host free tax preparation services from January 31 - March 14: Mondays from 4-7 p.m. and Thursdays from 4-8 p.m. Drop off and DIY with help from an IRS-certified tax preparer. Trained tax professionals offer free tax prep for families earning $55,000 or less. Bring Social Security cards or ITINs, photo ID and tax documents.

The Adams State University accounting students will also assist the community in filing their taxes for free.

Beginning January 31, IRS-certified ASU and TSJC students will prepare and e-file tax returns free of charge for individuals with household incomes of less than about $55,000 a year.

From January 31 through March 14, the free tax site is open from 4 -7 p.m. every Monday and from 4 -8 p.m. every Thursday in the TSJC Learning Center, 101 Main St. Alamosa.
