ASU hosts blood drive Friday

ALAMOSA — The Adams State Student Nurses Association will be hosting a blood drive in coordination with Bonfils Blood Center on Friday, March 30, from 12-4 p.m. in the Student Union Building, located on the Adams State University campus.

Individuals who are in good health and meet the general eligibility criteria are able to donate (even those who were deferred in the past may be able to donate now).

Basic requirements for blood donating include being at least 18 years old, weighing at least 110 pounds, and having a valid form of identification (driver’s license, work badge, school ID, etc.). Those who recently got a new tattoo or piercing can still donate as long as the tattoo was applied in a state-regulated shop and the piercing was performed using single-use equipment.

Anyone with questions or who would like to schedule an appointment may contact Victoria Campbell at [email protected] or 719-580-7941. Please remember to eat a well-balanced meal within two hours of donation and be well hydrated. Walk-in’s are welcome!
