Arlen Wesley Doyle, 45

Arlen Wesley Doyle was born April 26, 1971 in Denver Colorado, to Arlen Doyle and Renee Martinez Wilcox. At the age of 6 months, his family moved back to the San Luis Valley. Wesley attended schools in Sanford and La Jara, graduating from Centauri High in 1989. He enjoyed athletics and participated in Wrestling, Football, and Baseball. He attended Trinidad State JC, graduating from Master Carpentry School in 1992.

Wesley worked in construction and carpentry, taking pride in his work in building and remodeling homes for many years in the San Luis Valley. His enjoyment in life was his children, family, coaching Little League baseball, motorcycles, fishing, hunting, all outdoor activities. He was always willing to help others, working as a volunteer for many community organizations.

Wesley is survived by his son Shay Doyle, his daughter DeAndra, one brother Brian (Leslie), Mother and Step Father Renee (Brad) Wilcox, Step Mother Tonita Lopez, Grandmother Ernestine Martinez, Step Sisters Amy (Jose) Ortega, Jodie (John) Lopez, Sandy (Rob) Dutton, several uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, two Great Nephews, and Friends. Wesley was proceeded in death by his Father Arlen Doyle, Grandfathers Pete Martinez and Cam Doyle, Grandmothers Stella Doyle, Roberta Wilcox, Great-great grandparents Eliseo and Virginia Lucero, Felipe and Maclovia Martinez, Ismael and Bernilda Rodriguez, Nephew Devon J Doyle.

A Rosary for Wesley will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church in La Jara, Colorado. A Mass will be held on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 10 a.m., also at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church in La Jara. Interment will follow at the La Jara Cemetery. Romero’s Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
