APD take two into custody for schedule I and II substances

ALAMOSA — A morning search warrant yielded two arrests for the Alamosa Police Department (APD) on Thursday.

Suspects Seth Cordova, 36, and Anna Romero, 47 of Alamosa were arrested for possession and unlawful distribution of schedule I and II substances.

On May 6, 2021, at approximately 8 a.m., detectives from the Alamosa Police Department obtained a search warrant for 1010 Edison Avenue apartment B in regards to complaints of illegal drug activity.

While executing the search warrant, two subjects were contacted within the residence.  Alamosa Police Department Detectives located approximately 21 grams of heroin, 5 grams of fentanyl/methamphetamine combination, Suboxone, one .380 caliber handgun, approximately $2,000 U.S. currency and numerous items used to distribute narcotics within the residence.

During this operation, the two residents Cordova and Romero were taken into custody.  Both suspects were transported to the Alamosa County Detention Center for unlawful distribution of a schedule I and II which is a class 3 drug felony and possession of a controlled substance schedule I and II which is a class 4 drug felony.  Based on the items located by APD Detectives, it is alleged Cordova and Romero were distributing heroin and fentanyl/methamphetamine from the residence.     

These operations could not be done without assistance and cooperation from the community.
