Anselmo “Elmer” Archuleta

Anselmo (Elmer) Archuleta, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 2, 2020. He was surrounded by his loving family. Elmer served 8 years in the Air Force while doing two tours of them in Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed making knives, welding and fixing anything he could get his hands on.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jose Vicente Archuleta and Filomena Florence Archuleta and brothers Gene Archuleta and Larry Paul Archuleta. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Archuleta; daughter Tammy Jo Archuleta and son Vincent Archuleta (Monica); four grandchildren Robert VanOrman, Audriana VanOrman, Jaelynn Archuleta and Gabriel Sisneros; two great-grandchildren Layla VanOrman and Olivia VanOrman; siblings Helen Mora (Louie), Mary Atencio (Larry), Dianne Lobato (Edwin), Armando Archuleta, Janet Williams (Norman), Sandra Newhouse (Matt), Salomon Archuleta (Edith) and Michael Archuleta.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020, from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m. with Mass of the Christian Burial to follow at 8 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church in Albuquerque, N.M.

A private burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetary.
